Our Services
At Psychs of the North, we offer a broad range of psychological services to support mental health and wellbeing across the lifespan.
Each of our psychologists provides appointments at the Bundoora Location, and can also accommodate telehealth intervention when required.
If a clients needs fall outside of our scope of intervention, we will refer on to appropriate resources.
Referral process
If you would like to access psychological support through Psychs of the North, you can begin by speaking with your local GP. They can provide you with a Mental Health Care Plan, which entitles you to up to 10 Medicare-rebated sessions per calendar year.
When arranging your referral, please ensure it is addressed to the psychologist you would like to see, as each practitioner operates their own independent practice.
Once you have your referral and Mental Health Care Plan, you can contact your chosen psychologist directly via their listed phone number or email.
Please be mindful of each psychologist’s working days, as response times may vary depending on their availability.
Session format
Clients can choose to attend sessions in the way that best suits their needs and circumstances.
Appointments are available in person at our Bundoora clinic, or via telehealth, which includes both phone and video sessions.
Telehealth offers a flexible and accessible option for those who may prefer to connect from home or who are unable to attend in person.
Cancellations
Each psychologist at Psychs of the North manages their own appointment schedule and has their own individual cancellation policy.
However, as a general guideline, we ask that clients provide at least 48 hours' notice if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This allows time for the appointment to be offered to someone else who may be waiting.
Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a fee, which is not covered by Medicare.
Please check with your chosen psychologist for the specific details of their cancellation policy.
